About Me
I'm Stephen Allan, an admissions consultant for over a decade, a lifetime writer, and a Duke University Class of 2010 graduate--in large part because of my common app essay.
My journey began with crafting my own essay about the psychological journey of weightlifting. This essay secured my spot at Duke, where I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology. Since then, I have honed my writing and editing skills at publications like The Chronicle and The (Raleigh) News & Observer, as well as authoring novels in different genres. However, my true passion lies in helping students achieve their aspirations through compelling essays.
Over the past ten years, I have edited and worked on over a thousand essays, collaborating with AbroadEssay, Fiverr, Upwork, and private clients, including those from top colleges, graduate schools, and trade schools.
